Is there a brand that comes close to Rolex in terms of design, quality and cult status? It’s Omega Replica, of course. At this point we would like to warmly recommend that you add a vintage Omega to your watch collection. The Swiss watch manufacturer was founded in 1848 and has an impressively long tradition. During this time, technical innovations lined up with iconic timepieces such as the legendary Speedmaster and well-known wearers such as 007 James Bond. In this article we introduce you to four vintage Omegas that speak to our hearts.

1 Vintage Omega Seamaster 300

Omega Replica

This Omega Seamaster 300 reference 165024 from 1966 has everything you could expect from a collectible vintage watch. Designed for professional and amateur divers, the first Omega Seamaster 300 was presented in 1957. Reference 165024 followed in 1962 as a commission for the British Royal Navy – so it is an absolutely powerful diving watch that is prepared for any underwater use. Robust, reliable and precise, the Omega Seamaster 300 soon became one of the favorite watches of many professional and amateur divers. Today it is an absolute vintage classic and simply beautiful to look at. The model corresponds to the classic design of diving watches, which is now being taken up by many brands.

But it is a real vintage Omega – history is lived here, as can be seen in the beautiful patina. As with the Speedmaster watches of this time, the case of this model was made by Hugenin Frères (HF): the engraving on the inner case back reveals it.

The wide, black Bakelite bezel, the expansive indices and the sword hands are real eye-catchers. Anyone interested in vintage diving watches will be reminded of the Rolex “MilSub”, which is extremely popular among collectors, when they see the sword hands. With its 41 mm case, the Seamaster 300 is an impressively present vintage Omega. The bezel is stylistically similar to another famous diving watch – the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms.

2 Omega De Ville Vintage

Omega Replica

There are various reasons to choose a Vintage Omega. One of them is to own a truly unique watch. And unique is the Omega Vintage De Ville with the reference 511.0428, made in 1972. The model is 32 x 20 mm in size and its rectangular shape is somewhat reminiscent of the iconic Cartier Tank, but without the long horns typical of the Tank. The bracelet of this vintage Omega De Ville is embedded in the case so that the timepiece and strap merge into a single unit. Thanks to the two-tone geometric pattern on the dial, the simple watch is an eye-catcher. The hand-wound caliber 485, which has been produced since the 1960s, is used.

The De Ville collection from Omega has also been around since 1960. It was designed as an elegant and stylish line, suitable for both everyday use and formal occasions. Although the De Ville watches sometimes appear very different, they have one common denominator, namely their focus on elegance, sophistication and timeless design. The watches in this collection are characterized by their slim silhouette, clean lines and subtle embellishments. They embody a classic aesthetic that can be worn with both sporty and elegant looks.

3 Omega Constellation Vintage

Omega Replica

The Omega Constellation was introduced in 1952. Their design is characterized by elegance, sophistication and timeless beauty.

The Constellation as we know it today, i.e. with the characteristic claws on the case, was produced from 1982, with the design going back to a design by Carol Didisheim. From the 1990s onwards, the Roman numerals moved from the dial to the bezel – as was the case with the vintage Omega Constellation reference 396.1202, built in 1994.

The special thing about this beautiful vintage Omega is its flat design: with its integrated bracelet and low height of just 7.7 mm, it nestles comfortably on the wrist. The Omega caliber 1532 is installed, i.e. a quartz movement, which does not detract from the charm of the watch: From the 1970s onwards, Omega experimented with ultra-flat quartz calibers. It was not until the mid-1980s that automatic calibers were again installed in the Omega Constellation.

4 Omega Speedmaster Vintage

Omega Replica

Of course, the Omega Speedmaster cannot be missing from a list of the best vintage Omegas – because its unique history as the first watch to be worn on the moon ensures it a place in the history books forever.

Until 1987, all Speedmaster watches with Moonwatch cases were wound by hand. Then came the vintage Omega Speedmaster with the reference 376.0822; Speedmaster collector and expert Chuck Maddox coined the name “Holy Grail” for this watch. It was the first Speedmaster with a Moonwatch case and an automatic chronograph movement with days of the week and date (caliber 1045).

The Omega Speedmaster “Holy Grail” is one of the most sought-after vintage Omegas ever. It was only produced in a limited edition of around 1,800 copies over the period of one year. Anyone who finds this model – and can afford it – should never give it back.
